Some apps for classroom learning

As we start getting into the teaching season, here are few new(ish) apps that might be helpful in creating effective teaching experiences for students.

Adobe Presenter 10

Presenter provides a quick and easy-to-use software platform to create effective tutorials and assess student performance with interactive quizzes. Presenter also makes it easy to create a flipped classroom experience- a new approach to learning that emphasizes tutorial based online instruction at home and more of a collaboration based experience in class.

Snagit

SnagIt screen capture allows you to grab an image or video of what you see on your computer screen, add effects, and share with anyone. Very helpful tool to get the screen captures necessary to build effective step-by-step tutorials and libguides.

Emaze

An interesting new HTML-5 based alternative to Prezi and Microsoft PowerPoint. Provides a easy cloud-based presentation platform, that makes it easy to transition from slides to video presentations.
